ACADEMIC SNAPSHOT
Founded in 1997, Durham Charter School was the first charter in the state and is now one of the highest-performing charter schools in North Carolina. In the 2021-2022 School Year, we were the #10 highest-growth public school out of 2,500. We are now the #3 highest-performing charter school in Durham. Last year, our students outperformed the state in every measure of the EOGs. Additionally, every single one of the teachers exceeded growth with their students, performing in the top 1% of schools.

Our school grade is currently a C, but we were very close to earning a B. We launched our high school program this year and expect to become a B school in the next two years. By 2030 we will serve over 1,200 students on a 50-acre campus. Please visit our About page to learn more.
